Tuitt and Hercules are from BK's first recruiting class, correct?

Guess it depends on how you define that. He was the coach when last season's true seniors - Nix, TJ Jones, Jackson, Rees, etc - signed, but most of them had already committed when he got hired (Nix actually committed without a head coach). Tuitt and Niklas were part of the first class that Kelly had a full year to work on.
Either way, Kelly & Co. did something right with this bunch.

I love the draft grade bs... In reference to the Browns it's just about across the board bad grades and it seems no one can grasp what the fuck they are doing or even attempting to do...

Just mass confusion trying to rationalize it all... Lol

Btw, they knew Gordon was donezo.... had Watkins and traded out!?!?!?!

All you can do is laugh at it...

Thanks, I should've clarified first full class. Regardless that is damn impressive and a testament to the direction the program is headed.

Assuming all of USC's players get drafted and Prince and TJ get drafted, ND will have closed the gap for most draft picks to 5. With their scholarship penalties, we could pass them in the next 3 years or so.

Well, the Niners got some good value with Thomas, Hyde, Martin and Borland today.

After what happened to Bowman, I guess the FO brass felt a need to go find someone to replace/give Bowman time to recover, which is smart.

Getting Hyde where they did gives them a potential backfield of Hyde and Marcus Lattimore, which is pretty stacked (although I hope they can re-sign Gore after this season, of course).

And then getting Thomas and Martin to help with the OL is big.

Still waiting to see if they can do anything to help the DBs and WRs, though, starting tomorow.

Strangely enough I had Hyde and Martin go to the Niners in a couple of mocks, just not the same one and certainly at different stages.

Which shows why I am a fan and not in the FO, luckily, lol!!

And now that the Niners got back a 4th rounder for next year from the Fins, they essentially got Johnson for free, which makes the trade much palatable, so now I feel a little better about it. Hope he gets in there and proves me wrong about his speed and durability, as it always helps to have more weapons.

I think if your running a team for the future what your saying makes sense. What San Fran is looking at is who is better week 1 of the regular season. Stevie Johnson or one of the rookies still on the board, outside of Lee who I think is special? They drafted WR Quinton Patton (who...?)last year round 4 and thats basically what they traded away for Johnson. Also, in 2012 they drafted AJ Jenkins in the first at #30, how'd that work out? From a risk/reward standpoint for next year this was a great move!

NFL draft is ALWAYS about the future.

And just because your last two draft picks at WR weren't that great does not mean there is not plenty of talent still out there, so I expect them to take a look at WR tomorrow in the 4th round again, because even if Patton is not that great, then take a shot at a guy like Bryant, even TJ. They've got options now despite the fact that outside of Bryant (who is big and fast) there aren't a lot of WRs available who can battle with the SEA DBs. Bryant might be interesting, even if it means letting Patton go....or the Niners have seen something from him that makes them think he might do better this season and they go after McGill tomorrow because i cannot believe that he is a 3rd day pick with his size. Him or Breeland.

I am kinda wavering on the Johnson pick because of the way Baalke turned around and got another 4th rounder so quickly, so I think they go after CB early in the 4th round to snag McGill, Reynolds, Dessir, Exum or Breeland. Definitely need more CBs, not just a nickel back. A lot of intrigue left for them tomorrow/today.

Niners have four more picks in the next two rounds so getting that extra pick could be huge for the Niners.

Should be an interesting day for the Niners, but again you always draft for the future. ALWAYS.

TJ next to go you think?

Him, Cave, Bennett Jackson will be the ones to get drafted I'm guessing, and I'm not sure about Jackson.

Actually, some team might give GAIII a shot at safety.

TJ for sure, and I'd think Shembo gets drafted in the mid-late rounds. The guy's a very good pass rusher, and that's valuable. Bennett's more borderline, though he'll certainly be a UFA. GAIII would have to inspire some GM to see something we haven't, or win a job in camp.

I think Shembo will go 5th

TJ will go 6th

Jackson will go 7th if he goes.

GAIII will be lucky for even an UFA

GAIII will definitely sign an as UDFA. He'll have his choice of teams.

I think TJ could go earlier, but I agree with Shembo and Jackson (and I think he'll go).

You mean the kid who snubbed the Senior Bowl because he was so sure he'd be a first rounder despite a bevy of physical shortcomings didn't come across as humble and willing to put in the work? Weird.

I thought it was awesome yesterday on NFL Network when they brought that up. Garrapolo showing out when AJ declined the invite.

Redskins have had a horrendous draft so far. Moved down for value, but then wasted their top pick on a guy that plays the same position as Kerrigan and Orakpo. Why on earth draft a guy at the only position on the team where you have pro bowlers unless you're punting on the season and planning on letting Orakpo walk?

They could've taken a bevy of great DL prospects still on the board or a CB or S or kept the pick and taken Van Noy. Instead they take Murphy, who doesn't help their starting 22 at all.

I understand what your saying but there's a pretty resounding voice that Orakpo won't be coming back or they won't be paying him what he wants. I really like Murphy as a quality prospect.

Not surprising. He's a time bomb. More volatile than Manziel.

I don't understand why I keep hearing about mccarron. I mean who really wants to draft Ken Dorsey?
