My college roommate was from Carmel. A group of us went to the race 10 years in a row 1987-1997. I still have a piece of Mario’s front wing from one of his many crashes. lol.
Haven’t been since but going next year for a 40th anniversary reunion race. Cant wait!!

When I was in Europe, young and foolish, I had my little Supercharged MR2. Was on the autobahn doing about 140 and feeling like I was hot shit, and then a Ferrari goes by doing probably 190 at least. Really put me in my place. Talk about perspective.

I’ve been on the Autobahn as a passenger; would love to drive on it. I just love to drive fast! Before I was caught, I would drive as fast as I could all the time. I had a BMW 135is and absolutely loved it. Man, do I miss that car.
