I can't see Ballard not drafting a defensive lineman with that first pick, his whole philosophy is to build from the interior out, which is why the Colts finally have an above average offensive line. I'd say WR with the first 2nd rounder and CB with the other, and if we could add Golden Tate for the right price on a 2-3 year deal, I think they'd be around a 12 win team next year. Hopefully they go after some of the Dee Fords on defense in FA, no point in consistently rolling over 100+ million in cap room. Luck only has so many more truly elite years, and while the good percentage of our core is still on rookie deals would be the time to strike imo. If the goal is to win SBs then let's do it, right?

Certainly an interesting time for the organization. Me and a co-worker were just talking, over lunch, about some of the teams that really have a chance to really improve going forward and we agreed the Colts were one of them. Obviously they'll need to do what you explained above and do it right, but certainly trending in the right direction.

Yessir. You add Hakeem Butler or Arcega Whiteside with TY Hilton and Tate and sign Lev...Super Bowl. That offense, with a young up and coming defense, would win s ton of games over the next few seasons. Seems to make a lot of sense to me, but I know that way more goes into it behind the scenes. Hope they nail this offseason, however they choose to approach it.

Lev wouldn't even have to have 400 touches with Mack already there. They could keep both fresh, maybe a 70/30 split.

Bell wants like $16 million a year. That’s tough to swallow for RB especially when he wants most of it guaranteed. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a great player but I wouldn’t spend that much on a RB that has as much wear and tear as he has on him.

Georgia loses six players to NFL draft and transfers

Four Georgia juniors declared for the 2019 NFL Draft and two other players announced their decisions to transfer.
Early Entrants
» Mecole Hardman, WR
» Elijah Holyfield, RB
» Isaac Nauta, TE
» Riley Ridley, WR

Transfers
- Justin Fields, QB
- Luke Ford, TE

Quote:
Lost Offensive Talent
- Georgia will lose a combined 1,949 receiving yards and 22 receiving touchdowns.
- Elijah Holyfield broke 1,000 yards rushing in 2018 after playing sparingly his first two years.
- Justin Fields was the No. 2 overall recruit in the Class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite.
- Riley Ridley and Mecole Hardman were Georgia's top-two receivers in yards and touchdowns in 2018.

All the losses come on offense, so the defense won’t take as much of a hit in 2019. But on the offensive side, the loss of talent and experience could be felt in a big way next season.

NFL draft declarations
Georgia’s losses to the NFL draft come primarily in the receiving game in 2019, as the Bulldogs lose three contributors in tight end Isaac Nauta and receivers Mecole Hardman and Riley Ridley.

Nauta was the first to announce he will forego his senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft. Nauta came in as a five-star recruit and had his most productive season in 2018, though he was never heavily involved in the passing game. Nauta had 30 catches for 430 yards and three touchdowns in 2018. The loss of Nauta combined with Luke Ford’s departure will affect the tight ends next season.

After converting to wide receiver from defensive back after his freshman year, Hardman developed into one of Georgia’s more productive receivers in 2018. He had a career-high 34 catches for 532 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

Ridley had by far the best season of his career in 2018, contributing 44 catches for 570 yards and nine touchdowns after scoring just two touchdowns in each of his first two seasons.

The losses will be felt in the run game, as well, although the Bulldogs seem equipped to address the loss of running back Elijah Holyfield, who also declared for the 2019 draft. When Nick Chubb and Sony Michel left for the NFL after the 2017 season, Holyfield got his chance in 2018. He amassed 1,018 rushing yards on 159 carries and seven touchdowns.
In addition to losing Ridley, Nauta and Holyfield, Georgia will lose two other offense starters - Terry Godwin, WR, Lamont Gaillard, OC - who do not have any eligiblity left.
