Canadian Breakfast Stout. Lives up to the hype. Not cloyingly sweet, nice carbonation, great flavor profile and very drinkable compared to other “big” beers and imperial stouts. Should have watched Strange Brew while drinking this.

It really is so good, but it's only available in bombers down here. Can't justify the $23 but once a year. Luckily it's coming out in November again

I disagree on CBS. I think it is too sweet/syrupy. I bought a bomber for my local brewer this Christmas and we shared it at the Brewery's Xmas party. He then treated me to a CBS from last year that he had sitting on the shelf. Side by side, the aged is so much better. One year takes the candyness out of it. He meant to let it sit for 2 years because he thinks that's the ticket for CBS but since I brought that in, he wanted to do a comparo. He's a stout specialist so I'll go with what he thinks.

72 Imperial Chocolate Cream Stout by Breckenridge. Can't tell what year, thinking maybe 2015? Got this because a friend lost a bet for an "old dusty" during the NFL season. He actually got me a second one since it took so long to pay me. The first was that Porter I posted about earlier in the thread, that was a good beer.

Sadly this is not. The nose reveals that it's barrel aged, but the taste is a bit sour, though I don't think this is infected. Just a soy sauce bomb.

Love Longbranch.
I've had both 10 and 20 Laphs. Tired them after PKT gave me recommendations. Decent, but didn't care for the aftertaste. Several less smokey/peaty options I liked better. Not saying it's bad at all (I'd happily drink it any day), just others I prefer at that $.

Love Laphroaig, the flavor is the best I’ve personally found tho I’m not a huge whiskey drinker,... like this longbranch too
