He’ll be 19 in March but is a 20’ recruit that plans to EE. To clarify this is from 247.

But apparently Brandon Collier posted differently, not sure which it is

I just worked out 2019 mid year 6'7 230lb German DE @AlexanderEhren2 and this kid will be a steal in the 19 class! so underrated he is very impressive. He picks up coaching really fast! Power 5 level talent who will play anywhere! Very Impressed by his hands and hips!

If I remember correctly from my time over there, I think most kids go to school until they're 19. They have a 13th grade. At least they did in the town I stayed in outside Munich. Not sure about Dusseldorf. They also seem much more intelligent than the average American for their age.

Random question you might not know, but do they operate on a school year like the US (year start in fall, end in spring) or do their years start and end in the winter? So basically do they graduate in June or December?

Traditional Gymnasium curriculum accomplishes the college prep curriculum in 13 grades. More German states are moving to a 12 grade system where they can be college ready, but the German education system is VERY different than the American. Gymnasium is similar to American College Prep, but students are separated into college prep vs vocational prep as early as 4th grade.

School years are usually 2 semesters but with longer holiday breaks.

Res seems to more about it than I do. I'm assuming they graduate in the summer because that's when school ends but I'm not sure.
