Can someone interpret tweets more often please?

Ugh, I wish I didn't care. I need a hobby that is less stressful.

The Delta, I assume, would be one of Delta Airlines airplanes.

BeauBenken 04-15-2012 11:41 PM

I think Lou is kidding though.

Wow.

WTF?

In kinda scary news, when I talked to a guy on the team a few weeks ago about a potential guy on defense leaving he thought Lou was the one most likely to go....

The awful thing is that every time there has been negative smoke surrounding one of our guys (Decker/Tee's Cousin/AL/Tee), it has actually happened

magogian 04-15-2012 11:44 PM

Don't leave Lou!

FightingIrishLover7 04-15-2012 11:47 PM

I was calm with Aaron leaving (looking at new avatars)....

But, if Lou leaves... ill most likely lose my ****, Lou is one of my favorite players. I do not want him to leave.

Rhode Irish 04-15-2012 11:56 PM

I was alarmed when I was reading the article in the South Bend paper today and it implied that Kona had passed Lou on the depth chart. Makes no sense to me. This kid has seemingly bought in completely. If they are screwing with him for some reason and it causes him to leave the program, I have a major problem. Lynch I could see. It had become obvious that it wasn't a good marriage. I don't get the Nix thing at all.

Not saying it's true, but what if Kona just really did beat him out? I wouldn't have a problem with a guy playing harder and beating someone out. Just my opinion.

I love Louis Nix, but if this thing really turns out to be true. So be it.

NDPhilly 04-16-2012 12:07 AM

I think you guys are over reacting.

MrIrishCanadian1 04-16-2012 12:09 AM

When I read it, I thought he was referring to Aaron Lynch hopping on a plane to Florida.

clashmore_mike 04-16-2012 12:09 AM

Ha. Tweets are now protected. I'm guessing he was hacked or was spying on IE to see how fast something like that would thread.

SaltyND24 04-16-2012 12:13 AM

I can try and ask his gf to see if there is any truth to this rumor...

There's a depth chart?

Yes, the staff is purposely screwing him. Louis is one of my favorite players, but if he's quitting and heading back to Florida, I'm not going to hold Kelly accountable.

Maybe Kona is just a really big, strong, Samoan that grew into his 300 lbs.

Also, it's April.

This has been said (by me too) in response to just about every bit of negative smoke in the last 3 months and they all turned out to be truthful. I hope you are right though

NDPhilly 04-16-2012 12:18 AM

I thought I read he had been practicing better recently.

Rhode Irish 04-16-2012 12:21 AM

If Kona beats him out then that is fine. The best players should play. I know I did not articulate this in my prior post, but the issue I'd have if he left is that he does not seem to have the same kinds of problems that Lynch had, and it would lead me to believe that something happened that he felt was unfair. In other words, he doesn't seem prone to this type of thing, so it would be more concerning to me than what happened with Lynch. I know that my post didn't explain that well, but that is where I was coming from.

Not sure if this is what you were getting at but now his Twitter is completely offline. I feel like if someone was going to hack his account and get ND fans worried they could have said something even more alarming.

wasn't meaning to come down hard on you, just saying there is no reason to try to talk to his girlfriend. If its not true she won't want to talk about it and would be pissed. If it is true she won't want to talk about it and would be pissed. Nothing really good can come of it.

He tweeted earlier today about how cool it would be to see Nix III on the back of his ND jersey. Calm down.

Eh, I'm pretty calm all things considered... just more confused. Tweet that and then delete twitter? Most ultimate troll move ever? Maybe.

NDPhilly 04-16-2012 12:49 AM

Also Kelly said in the Lynch presser I believe that Nix had really stepped up his game on Friday and Saturday.

BeauBenken 04-16-2012 01:25 AM

The only problem the staff has with Lou is that they want him to play at the level he is capable of playing at all the time. And he's a bit of a crazy, funny man. lol

TheTurningPoint 04-16-2012 01:32 AM

There is a lot of not so good things going on off the field with the team. BK and co Are doing a great job maintaining it so all is well

Can you elaborate please? This seems to really contradict some of your optimism from your coaches' clinic post.

This is very unnerving...

If you have the spare time could summarize in a pm for me?

(if not it's cool)

Sigh.......

I'd love to understand the intricacies of the situations. I just simply do not understand what is going on right now.

IrishAlum1997 04-16-2012 02:20 AM

Screw anyone that does not want to be a part of this. When you sign that LOI you are making a commitment. Once you turn 18, you are a grown man and need to live and learn by your decisions.

This is not necessarily directed at Big Lou, despite being in his thread. I can live with the 11th hour defections, but this "take my ball and go home" mentality by players already in the program is so ridiculous.

Everything you saw and read about Lou's personality seems counterintuitive to this newest potential development. Hopefully, tis much ado about nothing.

But if the sky falls again, don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

alohagoirish 04-16-2012 02:32 AM

Hopefully there is some explanation for what seems like a Bazaar coincidence brewing.

If there is something to this IMO it is not likely to be football related, but rather a school issue , a disciplinary issue, something serious that would force this decision. It is totally nonsensical to think a player with LOU's reputation , a player that could be declaring for the draft in a bit over 18 months from now, a player like that going home over some dispute with the coaches or some petty football problem. I hope this is not happening , if it is , it's for issues we are not anticipating.

Fbolt 04-16-2012 02:49 AM

A single ambiguous tweet that could be construed many ways is not what I would call a development. TP-based on ur insider status, is this a development? A developing development?

I can't take it - not another day!

Coupled with deletion of a twitter account? I guess we'll see.

Who'saWildManNow 04-16-2012 03:15 AM

If Aaron decided to leave the program and had enough class to keep it off Twitter and FB as best he could I think Lou would be classy enough not to drop a bomb like that on Twitter and cause such disruption. Just my opinion but with the way he has emerged as a leader on this team it would be surprising to me..

SirStrutsAlot 04-16-2012 08:15 AM

I remember seeing sometime on friday, he commented on Darby's status, asking if Darby had a place for Lou to stay if he came to visit...

rtrn2glory 04-16-2012 08:28 AM

i have a hard time believing that at this point he would leave...he's so far into his education, with only a little over two years left, to throw an ND degree away this late in the game would be quite foolish

at this point though, nothing would surprise me.
