I used to be happy when this thread popped up. Nix is quite a character so news and interviews were always fun. Recently...not so much. I just get nervous.

I knew what it was about, so I was not worried/expecting it. However, I literally have full blown coronaries when the Neal thread gets bumped. It takes me a few days to recover.

Lou is a great kid, everyone should go like his FB page. He really likes interacting with his fans in a non-football related way.

Had to stop back. There was a very good segment on UND.com about a course fifty some of the athletes were taking this summer. It was about giving back to the community. It was very touching and emotional.

However, there was a shot in the segment of Louis pushing a smaller elderly lady in a wheelchair, and he was towering over her. The way he was hunched over to even get down to push her chair, it reminded me of a Macy's Thanksgiving float. What a wonderful human! And he is a behemoth.

I understand why Day wanted those Big Texas Cinnamon Rolls, I used to eat those all the time.

I was a real fat boy eating them. I would drink a Mountain Dew and eat one every time I went into work, but sadly those were the days I would not gain weight. Now if I did that I would gain 5lbs.

Grahambo 06-12-2012 02:48 PM

Almost everyday in high school, when they first installed the vending machines and Big Texas was the most expensive thing at 75 cents, would get one.

He's pretty red there. Most of us change from white to red, Kelly goes from red to purple. To critique his purple face is to be racist.

to assume that most of the people you're talking to are white is racist.

Um, Guys, how did we go from Coach Kelly's brolic to racism, in three posts?

It's the offseason. It brings out the rationality in all of us.

Bogtrotter07 06-22-2012 06:36 AM

And, as Sheldon Day and I ran into each other, face to face, I can tell you from earlier posts, the kid is SOLID. I mean one knott of muscle, three inches shorter than big Lou, but massive.

It must be from the Honey Buns that Sheldon made Big Lou pick up when they went to the warehouse club.

Bogtrotter07 06-22-2012 08:47 AM

I think that it is fair to say that was staged. What makes that really funny, as an inside joke, is that Sheldon is as serious as a heart attack about doing things to improve his game. And he is about as drive as the snow (from an Alberta Clipper), to succeed. Big Lou on the other hand . . .

As Shakespeare said: "Me doth think he protestet too much!"

Not sure if my father is a 6'7" orange lumberjack, but I could be mistaken. I haven't really seen Tony that much since he graduated, but he looks huge with that hair and beard. I mean he was big when we played together, but Dang, longo is really putting in some work with him

NDhoosier 07-08-2012 12:59 PM

Wouldnt mind Springmann surprising us a little this year. I know we have some stud DL in the starting positions, but Springmann hasnt really stepped up, but he is still young. Would love Stockton to live up to his rating as well, but that is a long shot. Really would like to have quality depth behind Tuitt, Nix, and KLM, that is what championship teams have.

Tony was competing for playing time with Ian Williams last fall if i remember correctly. They gave the nod to Ian primarily because of experience and seniority, but it is still a pretty big accomplishment for a true freshman. I fully expect him to show up within the next two season, and play well. Along with that, I expect some great nicknames with his lumberjack physique and bright orange hair once he is better known.

This is a puzzling statement. I could understand saying this about a player who has been on the team for a few years and hasn't contributed, but seems like a weird accusation to make about a player who just finished his freshman year, especially a lineman.
