If only these kids could see - I went to ND and look how good I turned out!!!!!!!!!
Find the four biggest studs in the student section to hoist him up for pushups after touchdowns...average college students will not manage this
God... how could he not come? Just look at our interior line....
You mean alot of sophemores and freshman
Still, I have visions of him and Stockton dancing in my head...
Big, fat, athletic sugarplums. |
I'm picturing John Ryan, Kerry Neal, Darius Fleming and Ian Williams against USC's O line. And it's scary.
I hope I'm proved wrong on Saturday and eat more crow than CTF did after Purdue |
you forgot Ethan Johnson and KLM. They actually start, Fleming is a Linebacker and has played really well this year

Much love PL 22 |
I omitted EJ and KLM because they both have come on strong as of late
Everyone at DD seems to think he is all ours. Even a Miami fan poster there has said so. I guess their coaches seem to think so too and havent talked to him much recently.
Committing to ND is a 50 - 60 year commitment - that the university gives back for those 50 - 60. People see my class ring and ask with awe in their voice "You went to Notre Dame?" Maybe they don't believe I could make it through -but, I like to see it as awe. My fiance (we are in our 50s) recently went to the bookstore - she wants me to get her a female class ring as a wedding ring (you can bet the custom made band to go with it will differentiate it from most - and hurt in $$$) - but, ND has a rep that carries...... I've never seen a Miami ring. Not that it's not a fine Catholic university - just never noticed one or heard someone comment.......

Like I said, "Can't get more impeccable than that." |
Sonce Nix has decided to make another trip on his own dime to ND, and has publicly stated how much he likes us, there has been rumors that he is coming to commit. Sounds good to me
I am going to say he commits, if the game is competitive

The guy I am really hoping for is Mike Martin.
I am reading over on II forum that there are rumors on the Miami board that he committed to the Irish.
wowwww
Nix has not commited according to ISD whom was in contact with him today.

That is great news. Gives us a little bit of momentum heading into the game. I am hoping and praying that the team has a great showing today. Go Irish!!!
Anyone else read this anywhere? I am a little weary of believing someone's 1st post!
Thanks |
Anyone ever find out if this is true or not?????
Doesn't show on Scout, Rivals, BSpn, etc.
Thanks i was jw. Floyd committing two years ago slightly lessened the blow of the loss. A few commits from it this year would help, but who knows if that will happen.
Still nothing official out of South Bend on this guy? What's the deal? Randy Shannon not picking up the phone call from Louis to break the news?
Lo Wood and Tai-ler jones apparently have been in his ear. Nice to see Jones already puttin in work
No commitment. He has ND and Miami as leaders. See free article at insider.espn.go.com.
Could this have been a little bit of a troll-post?

I am guessing that it was. Since it was his only post. |

This Brian Smith has been doing ND football recruiting since around 1996. I spent an evening at the Backer with him and Mike Frank before the '97 Blue and Gold game discussing ND recruiting. I was doing recruiting for the Irish Recruiting Journal (free internet board) back then while "smitty" had recently joined Mike's fledgling recruiting service. Back then Mike lived in Nebraska, worked for a mortgage lender (IIRC), and was doing the recruiting service work as a second job. Shortly after that B&G game smitty moved to South Bend to give them a local presence. Since then I believe smitty has been associated with a couple of recruiting services and has done free lance work writing recruiting articles for a number of recruiting services including Blue and Gold. I've found him in the past to be knowledgeable. If he knows, he says so and when he doesn't he make up news or play the Lemming games. |
I'm ready for this guy to commit, think he will be a great addition. We could use his size inside. The one thing I noticed comparing us to USC was there size up front compared to ours. Our Specialty players especially on offense compare to anyones in the country and might be the best, but we need some speed on defense and some size up front. Harrison Smith in the secondary is killing me by the way.
If we get Nix, I don't think we can complain about other schools "poaching" players that had previously committed to another school. In the last five years, we'll have WAY more players flip TO us as opposed to AWAY from ND.
Can't complain now as it is...
this guy would be a huge get, we need a monster inside that can draw double teams and stuff runs, this would do wonders for our defense.
According to an alum I know in the booster club, Nix's committment is a forgone conclusion.

You know Kim Dunbar? ND shut down the QB Club, aka, football booster club, right after the Dunbar affair(s). Are you talking about someone in the Notre Dame Club? |
