    Visiting for Pitt or FSU.

    4.0 student.

Visited for the VT game in 2016.

Plays on the state champs in their division (4A). Archrival of Marist and Kyle Hamilton. They play last game of the season on the 26th.

    A lot to like.

    From the Master List thread:

I didn't even know the staff wanted another linebacker. Definitely like the film though

Like his and posted in the master list that he definitely would LB versatility. Could.play any of the 3 IMO. Would also like another quality LB and this kid is it.

Definitely one of the ILB spots. Rovers in the Elko/Lea system tend to come from S/WR backgrounds.

Visited Florida last weekend and picked up two Gator CB's, one from an OSU analyst and the other from an Auburn analyst.

Yeah but his speed on film makes me think he could be used as a rover in some packages. But Buck or Mike would be better. Wish he was a little taller though.

Interesting that he's visiting without an offer.

                      Funnier than you in 2012.

An unofficial visit to ND this weekend. That is impressive interest out of the kid to pay out of pocket to come to ND in the middle of senior season. I really hope ND is all over him because there don't seem to be any 2019 recruits coming this weekend that are as significant as this guy. I hope they roll out the red carpet and get him an offer with an opportunity for an OV in the future!

Posted in the master list or visit thread, but will drop here too.

He was one of three that bounced from UGA last week.

He was their lowest rated 4star, and lowest rated LB. A UGA fan suggested it's possibly making room for Nakobe Dean (5star ILB), didn't like the comp, or simply figured out UGA wasn't the place?

Good kid, from good school and family. He's an Eagle Scout, if that tells you anything.

That he can tie over 50 knots, knows how to survive a bear attack and probably had to decline many offers to spoon by some unsavory adult perverted scout leaders on weekend getaways to “Camp Lust”?

Without watching any film he reminds me of Drue Tranquill with some Dan Fox and Danny Spond thrown in there. Hopefully he can bring the pre-snap ability of Joe Schmidt with Carlo Calabrese’s love of family.

There’s not enough soap to wash away the tears. If there was a merit badge for refusing any more camping trips, I too would be Eagle Scout.

In all seriousness, I've got friends with kids that are/were eagle scouts. All were top notch when it came to commitment, hard work, common sense, and doing the right thing. This is one kid I bet never gets into any trouble for grades or doing silly shit.

If the kid is a 4* talent, gets good grades, comes from a good family, has Eagle Scout traits like good character/work ethic or whatever comes from that, then I think it’s a no brainer for the staff to try and include him in their plans for the future. You can never have enough good character guys on the roster.

I know some folks in the area, and will try and get a read. But yes, a no brainer. A UGA friend told me they were surprised he didn't go to Vandy in the first place, so wonder if they will be back in the picture. Not sure I understand the whole FL visit the weekend he leaves UGA, and then immediately to ND. I have to guess we are a serious player. Haven't watched his film, but will sometime this week.

I started the 2019 LB recruiting cycle off with just 1 wish, to get a LB from Blessed Trinity Catholic. Weird that it could happen and Steele Chambers isn't in the equation.

Agreed (and maybe one more OT/OG for good measure)

An unofficial visit to ND this weekend. That is impressive interest out of the kid to pay out of pocket to come to ND in the middle of senior season. I really hope ND is all over him because there don't seem to be any 2019 recruits coming this weekend that are as significant as this guy. I hope they roll out the red carpet and get him an offer with an opportunity for an OV in the future!
I'm sure he'll get some love even if it's on his own dime. ND wouldn't have him visit if the interest wasn't mutual.

Bertrand, who is a Rivals 250 four-star linebacker from Georgia,” McKinney said. “He de-committed from the University of Georgia last week, sort of a mutual parting of ways. Georgia told him they would honor the commitment but that they had other guys coming in and might not have enough room in the class, and he could find some playing time elsewhere. He’ll unofficially visit [Notre Dame this weekend]. Doesn’t have an offer from Notre Dame yet, but he’s coming up from Georgia, so I think the mutual interest is there and he’s [a highly-ranked player], so I think a lot of schools will be going after him. That’s probably the most intriguing name of the short list of guys we have so far [coming in this weekend].”

Offers from Florida, Georgia, FSU, LSU, Miss State, Stanford, TCU, Wisconsin, and others, but there’s no room? Not good enough academics? Not good enough of a football player? Is he not tall enough? Cause it seems like he’s significantly bigger than Lea and Kelly (Kelly isn’t very tall I don’t think). ND has DJ Morgan, Jonathan Jones, Jordan Genmark-Heath, Drew White, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Ovie Oghuofo, and Jack Kiser as 3 star recruits. From a recruiting perspective their LBer position group is one of the weakest in the program and yet they don’t want to take an SEC caliber linebacker from Georgia? I hope there’s more to it than just not liking the kid for his talent or academics.
