    Shea Patterson - Hudl

He was offered a few days ago. Committed extremely early to Arizona (like 2 years ago); some big time offers seem to be coming in as of late so lets see if that commitment sticks.

      Patterson Talks ND Offer|ISD

Patterson says he is still an Arizona commit, but is "completely open to anything." He added he has always dreamed of going to ND and he has relatives in the area. An uncle graduated from ND and is a huge fan. Patterson is planning to visit Notre Dame so he can meet coaches and get a feel for how he'd fit in.

Doesn't sound like a commit to me........ Good for ND, but I hate when kids say stuff like that.

Will be on campus at some point this summer per TJ

Him and Henry are my two wants at QB next cycle. Unless Eason can buy in

I don't see Pass leaving the south unless we offer his brother. Hawkins is a OSU lean right now

I like his game man. There are much more polished QB's in his class, but he is my number one want at the position.

The sooner the better. He's my number one want for next year. I can't explain why I like his tape better than the other top QB's, but he just seems like an absolute winner and that he would be exciting to watch if he is on your team.

interesting opinion. He would be my 4th behind Henry, Eason, and Pass. Costello and him are pretty much neck and neck for me.

I can't tell if I want him or Henry more. But then I really want Eason because he is a bauce

Yeah Eason is really good. Don't get me wrong, I would take any of these 5 QB's and be very thrilled. Just as long as he comes in and leads instead of leaving us right in the middle of the cycle. I wish Barnett all the best, but that is not the actions of a QB. They are supposed to lead from the front and not back out on their word. I understand he is doing what is best for him, and I commend him for that, but the more I look at the effect of him leaving, the more disappointed I am that he chose us to begin with.

I agree a little but it's hard to say we lose respect for a player who decommitts from ND but then get excited about another player at the same position possibly flipping to ND. Wouldn't that player have similar character issues?

It is indeed the same thing. I wear my blinders too tight sometimes. I am not mad at any kid who chooses what he thinks is the best thing for him, it is really just my disappointment that shines through and it is not fair for me to do so. We certainly get our fair share of kids that flip to us as well, and I can understand other fanbases disappointment as well when it happens to them. Gotta be classy and understanding when you get em, as well as when you lose em. Great post bro, reps!

Visiting in late July probably. Calls ND his biggest offer yet and we are in his top 4. Has family and grew up in Toledo. Brother is a GA at Arizona.

There's also a note from the interview I put in the '15 QB Thread

There's a bit more but I think the visit he had helped out overall on both ends. I should find out more in the next 2 weeks.

Haha, yeah I am kind of annoying with my Irish blinders, but I love that school man! I am also really high on Shea because he is from Toledo which is where I am from. That is where my affinity for Kizer comes from as well.

I figure it is better to look at the good things that happen for the team instead of wallowing when bad things happen. Believe me, it is easy to get down sometimes being an ND fan too, but things like Lynch transferring or Darby decommitting or whatever bad thing, should not take away from the great things like landing Max Redfield or Manti and Jaylon. We will get who we will get, and I will root for them whether good or bad.
