Not bad instincts. Reminds me a little of Deon Sanders except Deon didn't like to tackle.

Might want to hire a CB coach while we're at it seeing as we're about to get cuckolded by LSU big time...

His name is making it's way around the paid sites as someone that's getting an increase in attention with Freeman on board. Most recently at BGI.

And, some of the re-introductions are multiple calls, FT's, zoom meetings, etc. Those are the guys that tend to make it to the paid sites so its easier to gauge how serious the interest is.

Don't forget about Chad Bowden, Freeman's Defensive Recruiting Coordinator.

So nickname idea. He's literally Jay Could, one of the most notable (and infamous) robber barrons of the guilded age. Robber Barron is a sweet nickname for a CB (especially if he develops into a ball hawk).

Agreed. Letís call him Jaeden. I fail to understand this need to ascribe nicknames to players in the first place.

It would be nice to get into New Jersey again. It seems like Weis had was always recruiting New Jersey hard and during Kelly's tenure it hasn't been the case.

Wasn’t Wimbush from NJ.? Also Estime, Adimilola twins and Howard Cross....? I’m sure I’m missing some.... Clarence Lewis maybe? Shayne Simon too... I’m sure there are others. A Penn St friend of my daughter actually was upset last year because ND has been pulling talent from there over the last few years and felt that was a key PSU hub.....

At what point in the Kelly era has there been less than 5 NJ natives on the roster? Feels like they get at least 1 or 2 per cycle. The defensive two deep is going to have 4 from NJ in 2021.

Huh, yeah you're right in retrospect. Memory deceived me. I just recalled a handful of Weis leftovers (Calabrese/Riddick) and Weis getting the #1 New Jersey player in 2007 and 2009...and then compared to Kelly era missing out on some NJ guys (who was the guy who went to Rutgers over ND?) and Michigan cleaning up on elite talent in NJ... and it made it seem like NJ hasn't been on the radar as much. I'm incorrect though.

He gets a lot of street cred for what he did with OSU. And, his first year there they put up a decent showing. Beat MSU and Purdue. Should've beat Michigan. And then had a competitive game against Nebraska. Those are all programs that carry more B10 cache than Rutgers did going into the season. Arrow up for sure.

Didn’t Revis kind of not like him from the beginning and questioned his defensive style? Tough to win a locker room when a already outspoken star player takes the opposite from the beginning. Not normally going to see a player have more leverage than the coach in that way in college

I think Schiano got there in 2012, and a few players got MRSA and Schiano's handling of that whole situation along with his old-school style rubbed most of the players the wrong way.

Seems like the staff has a number of other prospects they have rated higher and they believe they are in good position for them.

Until your preferred kids commit, you need to keep all of the doors open. Other schools cooling on him raises red flags.
