St. Brown is a slot receiver. He played on the outside once they lost Pittman, but go look at his production, he is/was more productive in the slot. At ND, he either would have played out of position or be one of the many slot receivers we hear about, but seemingly never get elite production from....

OSU signed 3 of the top 15 WR last year (which is insane, but Bama had 3 of the top 6 and 4 of the top 10). There is no indication that once Ballard and Harrison committed by Feb of 2020 that they pushed nearly as hard as ND. They simply didn't "need" him at WR like ND needed him. They tried...

No, it's related. Think of it this way (made up numbers for the sake of example). ND is targeting 6 DB (S & CB) to meet the "numbers". However, if they were sure of the talent already on the roster, they could certainly pass with 5. This would free up one spot to take a BPA, even this...

I agree with your point. There is a counter though. If ND is consistent in not just filling the numbers, but filling it with the necessary talent each year, you could roll the dice. US culture has incentivized outrage. Whether it's "like" button, page click counters or "followers", people are compelled to be outraged. It draws attention to themselves and it makes them feel as if someone else is the cause of their problems. So much easier to blame XYZ than...

Exactly. If I were Janet Yellen, I would say the same thing. It's an idea that wholly favors the US. Remember, the current system the US has basically mimics a "global minimum" on US based corporations. While to some that may seem uncompetitive, it's actually significantly better than...

I agree 100% w/r/t revenue generating sports. What I don't want to see happen though, is the collapse of many Olympic sports due to Title IX. There is certainly a delicate balance there and I wonder if there becomes a permanent schism between "semi-professional" and amateurs. The concerns...

Would be interesting to know if it's BK/ND not wanting to have coaches in, or if coaches are not interested in doing that at ND.
If we are looking at this honestly, Saban has a very high turnover rate in his program and has placed coaches into prominent HC roles in CFB as well as growth...
