I have forever thought a program for state military schools is the way to go - if you can't show up and be respectful at school you get sent away for months at a time. Make it voluntary too - any parent can send their kid there if they think they are losing control or kid running with the wrong crowd...

  • Better news than I expected to walk in to as I entered this thread with great trepidation.

Shot at an ACC head coaching gig if you bring this back to remotely respectable? Seems like a one year gamble worth taking for a mid-major assistant to the head coach. Shows an entirely predictable...

The never Trumper got 3% of the vote - two Rs in the runnoff, Dems don't even get on the ballot in a district that Biden may have narrowly won (don't have the source on that).

And Mittens Romney getting booed with Susan Collins having a hard time comprehending - Cheney going to get bounced....

All true - and I still would have selected him #1 overall and it is not even close.

Good draft for ND and also good placement for potential success for our players, IMO. I don't like Books chances as an NFL QB but Saints are as good of an opportunity as he could hope for....

  • This sucks. Really had my hopes up for this kid. I am sure no coincidence that the announcement comes off of a less than pedestrian spring game for him.

I agree with the above comments on spreading more snaps around. You got to work more of these guys in - you really can't get them to execute...

What about this new trend of pairing former teammates? Lawrence + Etienne, Burrows + Chase, Tua + Waddle, Hurts + Smith ... is the "chemistry' really that much of a thing?...

I'm not saying Fields is a bad pick at 11 - I'm saying there is no reason to believe ANY QB would thrive in the Bears system. Much like Wilson is a guaranteed bust going to the Jets and Burrows likely collects disability checks in the near future.

Pretty sure both games were 50/50 splits for tickets and home/away neutral site treatment. ND has a strong Chicago base - people will hopefully pay more for tickets when they can sleep in their own bed on game day....

Friend who is Bears fan and OSU grad was calling for Mac Jones and I said definitely Fields. He just didn't want to see his guy go to the second worse QB burying ground after the Jets.

Not just the pick but classic Bears over paying to move. Not as dumb as the move up for Mitchell but still...

Wilkins and Brunelle would be most logical to me. Johnson wouldn't surprise me but really hope that is not the case. Want to see him put in the work and become a great success story....

    1) I like the idea of this thread a lot as someone who is not plugged in to piles of other sources.

    2) My bet is 3rd stringers who are seeing writing on the wall as depth chart is established will be primary transfer candidates - particularly with the new transfer rules. For WR room -...

I'm all for a complete shit show in Green Bay. Best comment I saw was he wants to be traded to Bucs to back up Brady and win a ring.

Don't forget Green Bay kicked Favre to the curb when he had a lot of good years left in him, however Rodgers is dominant - not just good so would be insane...

I think we end up 9-3 or 10-2 range - too many trap games. I feel like we should do better than 50/50 between FSU, Wisconsin, Cincy, USC, UNC, Virginia so will lean toward 10-2. Less a matter of fearing anyone on the schedule than the cumulative effect of a lot of quality opponents while we have so...

Didn't they already make moves to upgrade half the line or more? I am very curious to see where Liam ends up - I think he is a future pro-bowler....

I don't. Our just-us system is horribly skewed to favor the rich and punish the poor and that is before realizing how fast the process works for your right to a "fair and speedy trial". Years for your day in court that will bankrupt 75% of the population. All the players from cops to DAs to...

  • Always like when someone I forget is on the team starts sounding like a difference maker thanks to a position switch. They must really like his potential at CB - very unusual build for the position as others have said.
