Thanks for the reps for my Mom doing her Red Cross service. She actually went to Tuscaloosa when the tornado ripped through the area in 2011. She came back with a bama blanket then as well. I felt similarly okay about that at that time.. well until the NCG. -Cheers, Andy

Thanks for the reps. I think you guys are sitting in good shape with DRob. But man, his actions during his recruitment would have me nervous. Hope you can close the deal on him.

I think the EG issue is what swayed me to see the Irish more of 8-4 9-3 type team this season. If he comes back I thought the Irish could push for a 10-2 11-1 type season and make a push back into the BCS title game if things fell right. Without EG, I think teams don't have to worry about Rees running as much and will sit back and make it harder for the Irish to move the ball. A couple of key injuries also will hurt the depth on defense.

I was a little surprised! You've been fairly pragmatic and very football savvy, so (and this is apparently where our opinions diverge) I expected a little better outlook.

It was kind of like, "ouch, that's what you think of our program".

I watched the NCG with my RTR all day long close friend and we had a meeting of the minds, candid smoke before the game and without prognasticating about the results of the game, we came to the consensus that Notre Dame isn't at an Alabama level yet as a program, but is trending upward.

Your prediction would be a regression, and a big one at that. I guess that's what was so surprising to me. #trendingupward
