Son of former pro Jim Jeffcoat (who currently coaches at the University of Houston), this rising defensive end is high on the Irish radar and was one of a handful of prospects who received a written offer in the first wave after Sept 1

I don't think ND is in this game. UTX, OU, LSU, USC, and others have led ND all along.

6/11 SN 100 lineman Jeffcoat has Family to lean on By Brian McLaughlin Sporting News SportingNews.com - The Recruitnik (http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/TheRecruitnik/entry/view/25398/sn100_lineman_jeffcoat_has_family_to_lean_on)

His father, Is on the University of Houstonís coaching staff and is helping through the recruiting process. Jeffcoat expects to have a top 5 in place at the end of the summer, so that he can set up his Officials. Distance isn't a problem. A brother went out of state to play basketball. ND only mentioned as an offeror.

On Rivals Radio this morning, Bill King discussed Jeffcoat with Mike Farrell. Farrell's opinion was either Texas or OU, and they discussed the fact that Jeffcoat's twin sister has committed to play B-ball at OU.

He's been off ND's radar for a while, too. However, I'm still interested in where a player with this much talent lands.

Maybe... JUST maybe... we can have Polian buy an apartment right next to the practice field and have him work his black voodoo magic?
