First Rodney Harrison. Then Rick Ankiel. Now Troy Glaus (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3009089):

Former World Series MVP and four-time All Star Troy Glaus received multiple shipments of performance-enhancing drugs via a Florida pharmacy and a California anti-aging clinic, Sports Illustrated reported on its Web site Friday.

According to the report, a source in Florida with knowledge of the Internet pharmacy's client list, said multiple shipments of Nandrolone, an anabolic steroid, and testosterone were sent to a Corona, Calif. address that corresponds with Glaus' address.

Am I the only one who just doesn't care about pro sports anymore? Do you all think this is as big a problem in college athletics as in the pros? How about at ND vs. other colleges?

Sorry, I'm just so effing sick of all of this I had to start a thread on it ...

I think HGH (Human growth hormone) is a huge problem is both pro and college sports. Its undetectable by current methods. I'd hope ND athletes would not be a part of this, but there are always a few who seem to bulk up ridiculously, here and at other schools as well.

I couldnt believe the Wade Wilson thing. Thats just embarrassing on the NFL's part. First of all, how do you give a COACH a bigger punishment than a player using the stuff? Like it matters that a coach's physical abilities are increased or not. Secondly, HGH isnt an illegal drug. It's actually prescribed by many doctors for patients that have pointed deterioration of muscles and strength. You're telling me that a guy with diabetes isnt allowed to make himself feel better? Freaking ridiculous.

The steriod issue is huge! There was a couple of guys that were juicing when I was in HS in the early 90's and they are all over the place at my local gym! I lift weights a lot and it is hard not to cave to what it can do for you in such a short period of time! I can only imagine young men trying to get starting spots on big Div.1 schools the pressure being too much to be big! I think the fact that we have not heard of any positive tests lately in the NCAA means the testing policy is a joke! Strange how we have not heard any stories on this issue!
