Kenny Rogers has a tired arm and starts the season on the DL. What a dissapointment hopefully it's just something minor and he'll be back soon. Chad Durbin will take his rotation spot and Bobby Seay will move to the pen to fill the vacant roster spot.

Turns out it was a major injury. It was a blood clot in his throwing arm, he will be out until at least July, hopefully the young staff can step up to make up for his starts.

I think he is 41, so he will have a harder time coming back from this. What I can't figure out is why they waited until two days before the season to have this problem worked on. I have the feeling that they knew about it awhile ago, but hoped it would just go away.

Injuries happen, so you just have to deal with them.

I think it's just a matter of time before Andrew Miller becomes the other left-hander in the rotation.

In other Tigers news Carlos Guillen singned a 4 year 44 million dollar contract. He is a good hitter, but lacks something in the field, and I don't think he was worth quite that much.
