He was looking like his career was over when he injured the calf. Since he's returned he's hitting better than .330 and has raised his BA to .290. In his last 6 games, he's 15 for 27, .556!

He's now 8 hits behind Carew, 10 behind Henderson, and 15 behind Biggio. 16 hits will move him to 20th place. It would take another 50 hits to pass Winfield. He'd need to play every day and stay at that .330 pace to make it so this season. A longshot with 41 games remaining.

Only went 2 for 5. BA .291

17 for 32 in last 7 games, down to .531.

yea he's been tearing it up lately. arod will probably be back saturday or tuesday.

Jeter just had another routine 2-5 game. Up to .292. Carew and Henderson soon.
