| Irish Hoops Mod | 2nd Favorite Team? For me there is no real comparison to ND, and I'm sure its the same way for 95% of the posters on here. But if I had to pick a 2nd favorite team, it would be Georgia Tech. I only know about 5-10 players on the team off hand, but they are really fun to watch. Whenever they're on TV and ND isn't (even against Duke!) I try and watch. Paul Johnson always has small tweaks on the option that make it impossible to stop. He really doesn't get enough credit. They also don't have to chop-block as much as Navy due to their even size on the line, so I like seeing that too. If ND does choose to replace Weis, I would put Johnson at the top of the list. Simplifies the blocking for the o-line, we have great backs, Dan McCarthy could run the triple option well, and our receivers would be in SINGLE COVERAGE every time. Just curious to see what everyone else's second favorite team is. |

I have a brother and a sister who graduated from there. I'm a huge fan of UCLA basketball...the loss to Cal State Fullerton was embarrassing...

I know it's a rival but thats just my nature as a sports fan. I root for local teams (only reason I'm a Bears & Browns fan) & Purdue is just down the road. Plus I have a few close friends whose kids go there. It's nothing remotely close to pulling the IRISH. I don't get all tingly inside but it's something to watch from time to time when we're not playing or out of the BCS hunt.
