These bragging rights mean so much more when we are also ranked #1 on the field.

Why is this "a message from the students"?

I don't know how to respond to that? What do you mean why? It's a commercial for the NCG representing that the Notre Dame football team is number one, and the Notre Dame student-athlete graduation rate is also number one in the country. Those are students in the commercial representing Notre Dame which will then be shown to the entire country tuning into the game....

Annnnd boom goes the dynamite.

This video is awesome. Got the same feeling watching it as I did when Grace Hall lit up.

I just don't get what the commercial is saying or who it's directed toward. Is it directed at recruits? The students literally have zero to do with the athletic department or the student-athlete graduation rate. They could literally repackage this commercial without a reference to students and nothing would change, hence the question.

As a double domer I'd rather them just do another fighting commercial or reference that we're #1 in a whole host of other things, or even just say that we're a community and not just "the student body" and "the athletes".
