some movies aim at only one quadrant. movies like titanic nail directly in the middle of all 4 quadrants.
(quadrants are male and female, old and young.)
the largest group of ticket buyers are young males--the double edged sword is that hollywood knows this, so only really caters to that crowd. hence, video game movies.

Well to be fair i enjoy movies with substance as well, nothing wrong with enjoying both. With that being said go see killing them softly. I liked it, its about as far away from hollywood as you can get

My top 5 movies of the year were

1. Lawless
2. Argo
3. The Dark Knight Rises
4. Killing them Softly
5. Skyfall

Havent seen The Master yet but im sure it will be in my top 5 since Paul Thomas Anderson has never made a bad movie

Lookin forward to picking up Argo when it hits Netflix, Lincoln too.. Saw Dark Knight and Skyfall......... To each their own there

If Snyder's other films are any indication, this will be a film with gorgeous visuals and little else.

Nolan wrote the script, i think this will have some substance when it comes to the story
