is anyone else thinking to yourself.....how someone from Alabama won the academic heisman???? i mean someone from stanford? duke? ND? etc...and Matt Barkley was also up for the award and he was only taking like 2 courses or something unreal i remember reading...it was seriously was like a basket weaving class

From the LA Times

"Barkley graduated last spring, so he can adopt a schedule this fall "almost like an NFL quarterback," he says. Barkley's only class — tech-based "Macintosh, OSX, and iOS Forensics"

I believe that award should be reserved for Undergrad seniors (no 5th year) and it should go back and account all 4 years.

I like our page on ESPN where under awards they are ALL from 2012.

Tend to agree -- based on this year and last, Eifert wins the Eyeball Test Mackey Award. Ertz wins the Stats Mackey Award.

he graduated in 3 years with a 4.0 in accounting. Hes graduating Grad school in December i believe. Thats a crazy class load whether its ND Alabama or some school where kids can barely spell their name. Good for him, Myron Rolle was able to do it as well. Education is what you make of it. He couldve easily taken the SEC approach and hardly show up to class.
