Football Donations are down 18% from last year. Individual donors dropped from 6,200 to 5,500. WSU had the smallest pool of donors BEFORE the decrease. WSU is about $1 million short of the funds needed to fund football scholarships. WSU has a 14% increase in tuition this year and the same jump next year. The WSU AD Budget is $30 million, smallest in the PAC 10. By comparison a recent article placed Florida's AD budget at $89 million in '08. Season Ticket Sales are down 13%. Last year the Cougs sold 13,232 season tickets. They sold 11,746 ALL-SPORT Student Season Passes. Doesn't say if those Students Season Passes are inaddition to the 13,232 or made up 89% of the Season Tickets. WSU sold 12,300 tickets for their "Home" game at Qwest field in Seattle. Seattle is UW's home town. If WSU can only sell 12, 300 tickets "barnstrorming" across the own state, how many will travel to San Antonio to see WSU play ND? |
