Bang Bang Notre Dame Gang - No New Recruits
Interesting factoid of the night... I heard this said by Louis Nix the other day, but apparently the Facebook group (read: a couple idiot posters in there) had a serious negative impact on recruiting of at least one guy last year and maybe multiple. Who those guys are or might be is beyond the point (although it's not too hard to figure out), but someone "high up" at ND requested that no 2013 recruits be added to the group and that was passed on by Big Lou.
The interesting part is that Steve Elmer was in the group, so one of the mods removed him to comply with the request from on high, and then he rejoined and was talking with some people... and then had to leave again.
The moral of the story? For the billionth time, social networking inflicts more harm than good... and is just an utter mess that should be avoided. Be smart; don't be NDNation.

That thing turned into a joke obviously. I sent quite a few private messages to the so called "fans" in that group telling them to knock off the bashing and they all said the same thing back. No recruits read it and no one cares because its the internet. Some people are just clueless.

I understand where everyone is coming from but if a handful of fans on the internet effect your decision. Then they probably never had THAT much interest in Notre Dame.
Coaches, playing time, education, the team, etc should play a bigger role than some people you will probably never meet, ever in your life. Just my honest opinion.
