ND Bball on the "Bubble"

As of right now we are the #3 team to be left out of the Big Dance. Not bad as we were #14 last week.

We will have a chance to play our way in. We have games remaining against Louisville, Marquette, UCONN. In other words games against teams that we will be fighting for spots with. Thursday's game at SHU is absolutely huge.

Next two games at Seton Hall and vs. St. Johns are must-wins. Of our last 5 games, you're right that at Louisville, vs. UCONN, and at Marquette are the most important. Playing vs. Pitt and at Gtown inbetween also give us great chances to get another signature win.

Winning the next two games are necessary. 2-3 in our last 5 would put us right on the bubble while I think 3-2 (and a win in the 1st round of the Big East Tourney) would put us in.

Here's a link to a matrix of predicted bracket seeds. They compile predicted brackets from many sites and put them together to estimate if the team will be in or out and what their seed will be. According to them Notre Dame has a lot of work to do.

Yay, Butler is a 6 seed!

Notre Dame can't lose to a team that won't make the tourney like UConn or Seton Hall and they need to go to at worst the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament.

NIT at best. ND needs a coach who coaches fundamentals and defense.
