Good news: Freshman goalie had great stops, 1st middies looked great! Constabile is Perk with assists and w/o the TOs.. Huge upgrade! Sexton will be on fire against Richmond’s anemic offense.

Bad news: second middie line is a possession only “hot potato” threesome. A lot of panic passes clearing the ball. ND should have best clearing at this point in the season due to Loftus. Either the younguns cracked under pressure or the coaches didn’t prepare them well enough. The attack can’t drive to the goal and dump. Zero threat today, only TOs from the attack. Moving Gleeson up top is great if you had an able replacement. None showed up today.

No Schantz, no Sexton, and I was still shocked the clearing was that bad. Basic off-ride and they didn't know how to break it.

The attack was worse than I possibly could've imagined. 3rd attack might as well not even have been on the field. If that doesn't get fixed, team is going nowhere. Garnsey was as bad as it gets for him... turnovers galore, forced passes, couldn't beat his man, poor finishing. I don't know what the answer is there but if they don't change something soon this team probably isn't making the tournament.

Was also surprised Hyland took 1 real faceoff (to start 2nd quarter) and then was never seen again. What gives? If he's hurt again that's a shame.

Any idea if he's a better option than Trav or would they benefit from mixing them up?

Tehoka is not of this world. Scottys got another fun team to watch. Hope they don't drop the ball as usual in the playoffs. He's got some pipeline with the res kids.

Richmond game. Great first half by the D. Ok by the offense, should have had 7-10 goals not five. Putrid 3rd quarter by all (Richmond actually took the lead) and then a very strong 4th. Offense still doesn't have 6 scoring options on the field at one time (they're on the roster just not on the field). Four or five scorers vs 6 real defenders won't cut it against top tier teams (see MD, Denver and Duke). Trav looks good (winning clamps) but the wing play looks very inconsistent. Great gbs by the poles on the defensive end of the field. Keeper looked solid. So far the team specifically the offense has failed to exhibit a "killer instinct" aka the ability to put a team away ala Syracuse two years ago. Let's hope the Irish travel well and are prepared for the Terps. We generally do very well against Maryland so I am very optimistic. More worried about Denver and Duke.
