Did Urban Meyer Use Notre Dame?

Did Urban Meyer use Notre Dame to land the Florida job? If not, how do you explain Meyer saying he had no offer despite all other reports saying otherwise. Do you think Meyer burnt his proverbial bridge at Notre Dame?

I personally don't ever want to see him coach at ND. If he had made a deal weeks ago with florida, then why was florida going after stoops hard last week. I hope Urban knows he was there third option behind Spurrier, & Stoops. He was ND's number 1 choice.

Oh well he had his chance to coach his "dream job". Hopefully he won't be offered another chance.

he most certainly burned his bridges. after saying that nd was his dream job and then, to not even be honest and tell them that the deal with florida was done was unexcusable. then he tries to claim that it was a family decision. what a bunch of nonsense! tehn he has the nerve to say that he hasn't given up his dream of coaching at nd! boy does he have a few things to learn. and if he doesn't think after going 7-4, 6-5 in the sec a few years won't give him fired, well then, he is very gullable

He consulted Bob Davie about taking the ND job. How can you possibly get an unbiased opinion from a guy they already fired? In the end, Davie's feedback may have killed it for ND.

Chill. Since nobody knows what happened, don't worry about it. The official story is that we never offered, and that is likely true.

What happened was mutual in some respect. But if a deal with Florida was inked and he talked to ND anyway, that would imply that the opportunity to come to ND was also important to him on some level.

if the nd staff flew all the way to utah, they had to have offered him something. but then again, its kevin white so who knows what happened. urban went somewhere to have immediate success, he proved he was too lazy to build from the ground up, so screw him. i hope the sec coaches eat his ass up next year. wait until florida and south carolina play (meyer vs. spurrier) that will be a great game.
