Joseph is the seconed TE in the current class joining Kyle Rudolph, and is the also the 3rd highly rated recruit from southern California to commit to the Irish in the last 10 days. |

I know many schools didn't waste time offering lately because untill recently many thought he was a Colorado lock. I think just the fact that he is a highly rated recruit from the Trojans backyard, but he is now headed to Notre Dame is still a pretty big deal because it opens the door even more for future recruits to do the same thing instead of feeling like they have to go to USC. |

He was recruited by them, but not heavy at all from the different articles i've read on him talking about USC. They figure Ayles is a lock, which he is. No reason to be pursuing many other TE's very hard. |
