Off-topic posts formerly found in recruiting profiles - Irish Envy

I love the collegiality and banter just as much as the next guy, but it's often clogged up recruiting threads. As a service to members who don't want to wade through all the off-topic posts while looking for news on recruits, and as a compromise to those who want the badinage, any off-topic posts will be aggregated and moved into this thread where you can off-topic to your heart's content.

Please don't take this as permission to clog up recruits' threads with no abandon. And mods, please move off-topic posts in here rather than deleting them outright (unless they warrant the latter).

I would laugh my a$s off hysterically. Seriously, the neighbors would be looking outside with puzzled looks and my kids would say, "Oh it's just Dad, he lost 45 lbs, he just laughed his *** off!"

I would never even THINK about putting non-recruit related info into a recruit's thread! I'm insulte that you would insinuate otherwise. Shame on you Phammer, shame on you.

Oooh, cool idea. I always hate when we go off on a really interesting tangent and the posts get deleted--almost always justifiably, but still it seems a shame. Maybe mods could leave the first post and then edit to say "See off topic posts thread for further discussion" or something. Not up to me obviously but great idea JPham!

It may seem like a few trivial clicks of work for the staff, but we do have school, work, and families to get to and every little bit of help we can get from you guys would be huge.
