Coaching!!!!??? - Notre Dame Football Discussion

My aunt whom raised me most of my life, and who is great friends with a Notre Dame alum and ex Irish Guard told me something very interesting today.

To make a long story short, my catholic priest whom I also am good friends with graduated from Notre Dame and is great friends with a guy who played RB for the Irish in the 60's. I'm not going to say his name only to protect his identity. Anyway My aunt was talking with him and she asked him "Whats wrong with Notre Dame?" and this is what he said: "COACHING" plain and simple! Now this is coming from an ex player!

He said that it's "The worst coaching he has ever seen" at Notre Dame! Even worse than the Faust era! Take this how you will. This is TOTALLY legit.

Just thought I would share with some of you who dont think its coaching.

I'm torn between wanting to see the program grow and succeed, and thinking the current staff just doesn't get the players motivated. I keep hoping they prove that they can win and get the most out of the players, but it is still up in the air.

Come on man. Couldn't we have done without one more thread dedicated to how our coaching sucks and we need to get rid of them all? Everyone's got an opinion, including ex-players, ex-coaches, the average fan. But geez, isn't this horse dead yet?

Hey, does you ex RB friend from the 60s know if I should have Qdoba tomorrow or not, because I wouldn't want to actually live my own life and just cheer for a football team, rather just be told what to do

Yea I am with the others on this. I mean everyone has their own opinion. And frankly I dont take someone's word who played 40 years ago more seriously than anyone else. This seems a little redundent
