I was in Foot Locker today... - Notre Dame Football Discussion

and they had a sale on collegiate t-shirts, 2 for $19.99. Of course, I checked out the ND selection and the harvest was bountiful. I picked out the two shirts I liked best, and as I was about to head to checkout, I saw a young kid (early 20s or so) picking through the shirts.

I noticed he had one already in hand, as he was looking for another. Closer inspection revealed the shirt in his hand to be USC.

I motioned towards the shirt he was holding and said, "You buying a gag gift for somebody? Boy, I'll bet he'll be pissed!" - I said it with a smile, so I could pretend I was only kidding.

The lad looked at me, and I knew he must truly be a USC fan (if not a student) because he didn't catch the jab at all. He just looked bewildered and said, "No, it's for me."

I nodded, smiled again and patted him on the shoulder. I then paid for my stuff as my wife gave me the ususal harsh hiss about something about leaving people alone... I'm not sure exactly what she said; I wasn't really paying attention.

you left the part out about you dropping trowel and taking a duece on the USC shirts, then grabbing a clean one to wipe...ahhh good times... sorry mods
