We really need McAlarney, this team is a potenial sweet 16 team with KMac. Jackson is a great talent but he's not at KMac's level yet. Without KMac we're about 8 to 10 pts worse which could result in us losing 2-4 more games in the BE.

The school needs to make the right decision here and reinstate KMac, its not fair to punish him so harshly for a first time minor offense. It doesn't benefit anyone to suspend him the rest of the year.

Sorry Queens, I disagree.

McAlarney knew the school's policy on marijuana and other illegal drugs, like I or any other student does, signed a contract saying he would abide by them and then broke them. He's going to face the punishment that any other student would, and that's going to leave him off of the court for the year. Whether you disagree with that is your business, but it is what it is. The "right thing" is for the University to not compromise its stance for an athlete to win a few more games.

And that's coming from a guy who stand outside in line for b-ball games for hours before hand to get front row.

i agree with nardo. the guy broke the rules while knowing the full consequences of his actions if he were to get caught. this prob. wasn't a first time offense... it was more than likely just a first time getting caught. ND is strict on its student athletes so that we dont end up like UT.
