| Waterboy | usc' transition year 1966/1967 vs. Nd' transition year 2007/2008 I am a newbie here and have my first question for the upcoming season. The irish beat the trojans 51-0 in LA back in 1966 en route to be national champs. The next year in 67 the trojans beat the irish 24-7 in South Bend. Conversely, this last year, the trojans romped the irish 38-0 in South Bend. Although an upset is always possible (i.e. 2005 almost), what is the difference between usc turning it around quickly in 1967 and our irish not being able to do the same this year? Thanks in advance |
