Weekend summary - Notre Dame Football Discussion

It was a great weekend for the Fighting Irish. The offense-defense scrimmage turned out to be a success. It looks like the program is heading in the right direction with the recent coaching changes and we had a great recruiting weekend as well. Here is a bit more on the recruiting front.

The coaches will be following up this week with most if not all of the recruits that were in attendance this weekend. Tenuta is a part of the recruiting scene and has at least DJ Adams assigned to him.

Tyler Stockton(aka...Virgil from the WWF) is exactly what we need for the program. He has been cleared for early enrollment and stated that he is going to actively recruit other prospects. He mentioned that he got a few numbers from the guys this weekend at is going to put the press on.

Cierre Wood is just NASTY. I can't put it any other way. When you get a chance to see the jr highlight tape you'll understand.

Both Anthony LaLota and Alex Bullard recieved official offers this weekend. ND sits well with both of them.

Craig Roh stated that the campus was unbelievable, the best he has seen. Stockton has his number. lol

Tyler Eifert said that he was hoping to get a schollie this weekend, but CW told him ND still doesn't know if they are going to take one or two TE commits this year. He said ND would jump to the top of his list if offered.

DJ Adams was very impressed and expects a visit from Tenuta on Tuesday.

DeVonte Holloman was impressed and had a good time, but he is going to be a tough pull for us.

Dorien Bell seems to be a OSU lock

and last but not least Jordan Barrett had a very good time. I don't know why he didn't commit. I hope he isn't this years version of Etienne Sabino. We led with him until he hit the campus, but it just wasn't right for him. I don't think that's the case and will update when I find out more about him.

Just watched Cierre Wood's junior film and all I can say is wow. ND=NC I was wrong, and you were right this kid is legit.

Thanks, ND I love Stockton taking the bull by the horns- makes me feel that much better.

Woods just put the pressure on the rest of the RBs- & I am very glad it was our first choice that did this.
I am really interested in Adams and Riddick- wonder if we will be complete on the RBs by the end of the week?
