The info/rankings I used are from Rivals. The numbers will go like this......Total commits/5 star/4 star/3 star.....(example 14/0/3/10) Ranked 27. PSU 12/0/4/7......The program needs new life, time for him to adhere to the Logans Run rule, retire before you lose it. Ranked 29. Mizzou 16/1/1/10 Ranked 39. Oregon 12/0/2/9 Not exactly the haul the schools wanted after a pretty darn good showing this year. They need some late commits. Ranked 33. Washington 22/0/2/10.......This is Ty doing his best to show why he no longer is at ND. Ranked 37. Tennessee 11/0/3/7......The downward spiral continueth?? Ranked 41. MSU 16/0/1/8.........Only 1 4 star recruit thus far....Dantonio, say it ain't so! Ranked 59. Louisville 11/0/1/6.....Petrino leaving didn't help matters, and he'll be cursed there for awhile. Their poor season didn't help matters either. Not the direction one would hope after 4 previous solid seasons. Ranked 69. USF 16/0/0/7.........All I can say is WOW. This surprised me a great deal. Were they not ranked at number two this year?? It certainly did not correlate into helping the recruiting numbers. It may improve in the near future, but will they be able to return to a high ranking soon? Ranked 72. Cincinnati 19/0/0/2.........Ouch. This is a legit top 20 team. That's the major question I have about Brian Kelly: his ability to recruit. TIme will tell if he's able to turn success on the field to winning over h.s. players and their parents. But there is no question he needs to hit Ohio and Michigan hard over the next two years. __________________ |

Hmm. You mean you need national appeal, top notch facilities, and a major budget to attract top players? So you think Washington needs the kind of stuff you had at ND, even though you couldn't attract that many blue chip recruits when you had it? Fore! | |

| Blue Chip Recruit | Hahaha so true. PSU has really declined on the recruiting trail, and while Paterno still gets by as a HC, it is time to let the program move on. I think Dantonio will get some more guys to head to MSU, especially as the scUM coaching search drags on. In all likelihood I think they get Nick Perry. A lot of those schools are up-and-comers, and have built their current success with players that aren't 5* guys. Teams like USF and Cinci are going to have to string some more good seasons out to really start impressing big-time recruits. Besides, I'm not stressing on other teams not being good at recruiting. Just leaves more for ND. |

It goes to show that a 2 star may be better than a 3 or 4 star if they have speed. Cincy's Brian Kelly is perfect for them, I hope they keep him (away from teams we play). |
