Its not like we got destroyed by MSU, the game was a lot closer than the score indicated.

I really hate the whole "are we back" thing. Who cares? We'll either wins games or lose them, win bowls or lose them, and recruit or not. But all programs go through downturns, some just last longer than others. The whole "is Notre Dame back" thing is just applying a time table and unnecessary pressure on a team that doesn't need either. Enjoy it for what it is...a 4-1 start to what looks like a promising season...instead of looking for what it means.

If Notre Dame can get back to a level of sustained excellence for four to five YEARS than I will say that Notre Dame is "back". Back can mean different things to different programs; when you talk about Notre Dame it's competing for NC's year in and out or getting to a BCS game.

Come back and ask this question again in 2012.

were winning at home, so we need to prove we can win on the road, i dont care about stats or anything else, if you know how to protect your house and then you can go on the road and take games than you are a formidable team.

Well, they are almost "back" in the top 25. They received votes from both polls for the first time this year and a win over ranked UNC would assure a 25 ranking. But UNC looks tough and this game will be hard to win away from home.

The only options were yes and no. The options should have been "Yes", "No", and "Its too soon to tell." I voted no because it is too soon to tell. But by voting ''no'' it gives them no credit towards the progress they have made since last year. But I think they are pretty close to being back, just not yet. Therefore I couldnt vote yes.
But Tenuta (sp?) is helping here.
