Great voice. Sang well and knew all the words.
"It (Notre Dame) is a special place and part of our mission is to get things back to the way they were in the past. We want players to walk across campus and feel the nostalgia of what it means to be at Notre Dame."
"You guys (Cubs) are in Pittsburgh the weekend of our opener. Your manager (Dusty Baker) has already asked me for tickets. Five minutes into the conversation, the negotiations began."
"Tommy Brady e-mailed me and said our new rings are even bigger than the last ones. I said, 'Sign me up.' It's my best recruiting tool."
"A group of us, usually two car loads, would come on a Saturday and sit in the bleachers for games. I can't recall the final scores of all those games, but I know we had a good old time."
He talked a lot about the Patriots and how their selfless attitude is what set them apart. Said that kind of unselfish attitude is a dying breed in sports today. Talked about doing both jobs at the same time back in January. Apparently in college, Weis was a bleacher bum as well.
He was funny, insightful and had a pretty good presence in the booth as a guest.
