I am a recent college grad and just started working outside Philly with a staffing firm as a recruiter. We specialize in IT, engineering, and manufacturing positions in the tri-state area out here. My friends (and I) find it kind of funny that my obsession with college football recruiting and ND recruiting led me to this position right out of school. It's amazing how similar it is! Obviously I'm not recruiting football players, but the situtions are the same! --- finding qualified people --- meeting them and making sure they are high character people --- playing the games and seeing what the clients and candidates priorities are --- working out the details of the contracts --- locking them in and closing the deal I wonder how many years of experience I should put in here before sending my accomplishments and resume over to South Bend... |
