Happy Blue and Gold Game day all. I was supposed to be in Kansas City for a corporate meeting this weekend, which was why I was not attending. Meeting got cancelled pretty last minute, and I had already approved vacations for other people. So I miss out on a sweet week of corporate mingling, and the Blue-Gold Game.

Crap cakes.

Blue - Gold game was great! Haven't had that much fun watching it ever. I really like the format of offense vs defense, rather than two mediocre teams. The intensity of play was much higher, as could be witnessed by the skirmish that broke out after Harrison Smith intercepted the ball and returned it for a touchdown.

I'll possibly write more later, don't have time now, but the game was good, very enjoyable with plenty of big plays both ways. One note now though, check out the und.com home page video of the game winning TD. It looks like he landed out of bounds to me. If there was instant replay, the defense wins as far as I can tell. Also, the tagging the QB thing was a bit ambiguous, there was one play were I'm pretty positive he got tagged before he released it but it ended up being completed for a big gain, another play were they called him down although I don't think he actually got tagged b/c the defender didn't want to hit him, and he completed it right after, and still another long completion that they rightly called back as a sack, but initially didn't.

Ok, I may write more later, but that's all for now.

Oh my God what an experience!!!! We ushered the team from the Joyce to the stadium and I was not even a foot away the whole time from Jimmy! I was directly behind him! Without even reaching I could have put my hand on his shoulder!!! After we ushered them to the stadium we got to walk through the tunnel!! I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it again! WOWOWOWOW!!!!! Sat in the gold seats on the east side of the stadium and that's where they started dividing us up. I am going to be a "swing usher". I'll start the game by taking tickets, checking bags or greeting the fans at gate A and then move up to section 113 at kickoff and be an usher the rest of the game. We threw on guy out for drinking already!! lol Dumb ass! As I was walking around with the supervisor his boss told him they were going to do a sweep. Which means at the end of the game a select few will go down to the south end zone and sweep people out the tunnel at the north end of the stadium. So the super starting asking the crew who wanted to do the sweep and someone spoke up and said "Let the newbie do it!" So myself and another usher went down on the field and got to walk the length of the field after the game was over!! Sshh! I bent down and grabbed a handful of grass and stuck it in my pocket!!! LOL At the north end zone we were told that was it and we could go about our business. I just happened to look up and saw Chris Zorich standing there so I went over and got his autograph!!!! I'm hooked! It's all mine for as long as I want it to be!!! WOW!!! I was so pumped from the adrenaline rush afterwards that I feel totally wiped out now!! hehe
