Granger there are Notre Dame football fans and then there are Notre Dame fans who like all of ND athletics. I have been to ND football, mens basketball, womens basketball, baseball, softball, and Hockey games and enjoy them all. Go all things Irish!!!!!!

Also one shouldn't rule out Depaul or South Florida. Last year SF beat us when we traveled there, even though we dismantled them earlier in the season.

I just want them to win out and get a good tournament spot...let's say Tampa. That would be great. The band is going with the team, and I want to go somewhere warm. Spokane was nice last year, but Tampa is hot hot hot!

Go Irish
The Louisville game is on the road, not at home but reguardless, I think if they go 3-1, and then at least make it to the Big East Semis then I think they'll lock up a #4 seed.

Gipper, I hear you, but I don't buy the argument. White has been dumbing down the schedules since he got here. This year, the Bball team didn't play ANY Big Ten competition in the pre-confeence, and nothing with UCLA, either. No Iniana, no Purdue, no MSU, and, even though they stink now, no Michigan. These games would be BUS RIDES, and none of them happened. I know a little something about college athletes, and their psyhcology. NO real quality recruit wants to hear that he'll spend half the season squaring off with Long Island, Monmouth, Colgate and IUPUI.

Another thing. ND football plays Stanford allthe time, and Stanford is seldom a .500 team in football. WHY CAN'T WE GET A BBALL GAME WITH THEM ? They're usually pretty good on the hardcourt.

Well, they played in the Paradise Jam this year, the preseason NIT last year, and Texas and Maryland a few years ago in a different Tourney plus I'd imagine they'll be part of the Big East SEC challenge when that starts up given that they're one of the better teams in the conference right now, and they palyed Alabama when they were ranked #5 last year as part of their non conference schedule.

Part of the problem is that they play in a very hard conference that has way too many teams and thus forces you to have an unbalenced schedule.

So, ND lost to UL by five, with a late charge. Where does this leave ND going into the last week of the season? Do they hold onto to a 4 seed? Slip to a 5? Wille they hold onto a top 4 slot, and a bye, in the Big East?

Personally, I thinkND was lucky that UL couldn't shoot free throws to save their lo save their lives. This one was getting pretty ugly, and would have stayed ugly, had UL sunk some free throws from 10:00 down to 5:00.

I think if we win out and win a few in the Big East Tourney we will stay a 4 seed. If we lose a game and one in the Big East Tourney we will drop to a 5 seed maybe 6. I like how we didnt give up at least. We kept battling.

I expect them to win out in the regular season, even though they have DePaul on the road. That will secure them a top four berth in the Conference, and a bye game. I'm just guessing, but I expect that means they'll be a 5 seed in the Big Dance going into the Big East Tournament. They'll have a maximum of 3 games to play there. If they win all three, they'll probably be a 3 seed. 2 wins, I think, leaves them a 4 seed. One win, a 5. If they lose their first game, I say they'll be a 6. Sound about right?

And they DID keep battling, but they gave up too many turnovers down the strecth.
