| Man... Fasano, now Carlson, Reuland in last year's class, Ragone in this year's class, and Rudolph as a potential '08. While we may be hoping for ND to become Every Position U, the framework for a long line of very good, well rounded NFL TEs is already in place. To an extent, there's a framework being built for WRs and fullbacks (See replacing Stovall with McKnight, RPN with Schwapp with Ashley McConnell), but the lineage is already there with TEs. Now, we probably won't be competing for the Vernon Davis/Antonio Gates type TE/WR hybrid because blocking is a major point of emphasis in Weis's offense, but I can definitely see this string of TEs starting in the NFL in a couple years. |
