Atlanta Braves Denver  Broncos Montana 24 - Jeff Gordon

Probably why so many were frustrated 2 years ago with the last days defections and were quick to get p'ed w OH last year. It is one thing to make a decision you decide is wrong for you and want to go back and change it. it is quite another to specifically lie/mislead people of your decision.

ND starts out with an offer to a recruit and tells him what he must do to accept this offer (be academically qualified, meet student conduct requirements/ standards). They also let them know there are a certain amount of slots at their position and first to accept get them. That is why they offer few at the start. First offer 1 RB, then if he does not sign, offer another, then another. Every time they make another offer out there, they let that 1st choice kid know he is not the only game in town. When they had 5 RBs with offers out there, Wood knew he could be left with nothing. Riddick saw the writing on the wall and grabbed the slot quickly, knowing he could have been aced out of the offer if Taylor or Adams or Hilliard accepted before him. Now these last 3 know they had a chance and let it pass them by. That is life. That is also why teams put out 45 offers when they know there is only 18-19 slots available. JMHO
