Over the past week Notre Dame received verbals from two of the nations top running backs, adding depth to an already loaded backfield. The first came from California standout Cierre Wood, a back that a number of recruiting rankings have as the number one running back in the nation (We’ll see how long that lasts now that he has given his commitment to the Irish
). Then just days later New Jersey standout Theo Riddick also gave his verbal commitment to Coach Weis. Riddick is considered a top prospect nationally as well.
