| Gipper, I hear you, but I don't buy the argument. White has been dumbing down the schedules since he got here. This year, the Bball team didn't play ANY Big Ten competition in the pre-confeence, and nothing with UCLA, either. No Iniana, no Purdue, no MSU, and, even though they stink now, no Michigan. These games would be BUS RIDES, and none of them happened. I know a little something about college athletes, and their psyhcology. NO real quality recruit wants to hear that he'll spend half the season squaring off with Long Island, Monmouth, Colgate and IUPUI.
Another thing. ND football plays Stanford allthe time, and Stanford is seldom a .500 team in football. WHY CAN'T WE GET A BBALL GAME WITH THEM ? They're usually pretty good on the hardcourt. |
