3rd Time's the Charm

It took three tries for Kapron Lewis-Moore to finally get it right but he has finally given his verbal commitment to Notre Dame. Lewis-Moore, a DE/OLB prospect from Weatherford, TX, had previously verbaled to Texas A&M twice. His future was put back up in the air due to a coaching change made at A&M after the season, then during this period of instability in his recruitment he took an official visit to ND which he seemed to really love as well as his mother, but it seemed as though he couldn't bring himself to pull the trigger and go to school so far away from home so he recommited to Texas A&M. Then during this past week or so one way or another Kapron came to the conclusion that Notre Dame was the best place for his long term future which has caused him to commit to the Irish. Kapron is the 23rd member to the 2008 Notre Dame recruiting class and he'll be adding much needed depth to a recently depleted defensive front seven.

Outlined against a blue-gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore they are known as Famine, Pestilence, Destruction and Death. These are only aliases. Their real names are Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Layden. They formed the crest of the South Bend cyclone before which another fighting Army football team was swept over the precipice at the Polo Grounds yesterday afternoon as 55,000 spectators peered down on the bewildering panorama spread on the green plain below. - Grantland Rice 1924

Brown, ND's first-year defensive coordinator, played at Michigan."(Brown) said if he would have gotten offered by Notre Dame," Slaughter said, "he would have gone to Notre Dame."
