| Blue Chip Recruit | Banks being an EE is huge, the kid has all the tools to be a great DB but him being a QB IMO has and will set him back come some as a CB just from all the effort it takes playing QB and at this point at a CB he's more of a project and there is no doubt that getting to South Bend to participate in spring ball will expedite his transition to CB. |

I just got back from a great round of golf and logged on to IE and saw that Banks committed. I'm stoked about him. From watching his highlight video, I noticed 2 things that stood out: 1) He seems to have excellent speed and he gets around the corner extremely fast. There were a few times where it looked like he was running straight out of bounds and then he turned it up the sideline and burned everyone else. 2) He has excellent balance. There is a play at about mid-way through his video where he gets tripped up and stumbles down to his hands, but his knees never touch and he regains his balance quickly and darts straight ahead for a TD. I think he could challenge early for return duties based on what I saw. If he plays offense, he could be deadly on screens. I'm excited about this commitment! |
