“My coach just told me that Notre Dame and Michigan offered me,” Smith said on Wednesday afternoon. “I think that’s real good. I was surprised by it. I really didn’t know that they were going to offer me but I was surprised. I don’t know a lot about them but I’m getting to know about them though.”

Smith clearly made an impression recently when Notre Dame assistant coach Corwin Brown stopped by the high school Tuesday to look in on the talented athlete. It only took one day for the scholarship offer to follow.

“I’m excited every time an offer comes in,” he said. “I’m thinking about any school. Any school that offers me, I’m thinking about. Right now, I don’t have a top five or nothing.”

We need this guy. We need to get some CB's to accompany this nice recruitment of Linebackers. I mean, so far nobody will be able to run against us. But we have seen how one pass can change a season. (USC 06 to Jarret, wooden let him by on the side)

What are our chances here?
