unfortunately "good" is about all he said about the visit. similar to what he's said about visits to Rutgers, Virginia, ND and Michigan.

he now plans on waiting until the end of his season, unless he becomes certain before then. no official visits scheduled at this time.

Maybe he's really torn between 2 or 3 of these teams and he wants to see how their season goes before making that big commitment. If Rutgers and scUM teams are only mediocre this year and ND is surprisingly outstanding (and he likes their playing scheme) that pendulum could swing the Irish way!

The flip side to that is that those teams are really bad and we're really good, so he sees the opportunity to play right away at those 2 schools whereas at ND he won't want to sit behind the entrenched starters. Not saying that will happen (praying our good/great year will entice even more recruits), but look at what happened to us last year. We had the worst year of all-time and our recruiting class was number 2 in the nation. These kids saw us as a first-class university w/ a first-class coaching staff AND a chance to play right away. Don't think that doesn't play into their minds. And Rutgers has been recruiting their as**s off, so it never surprises me anymore when a recruit chooses them. Let's hope he makes the right decision, however, and go with a program on the rise...

Hun planning to keep bar high - NJ.com

Quote:
Tyler Stockton, an Atlantic County native who has given his verbal commitment to attend Notre Dame, anchors the defensive line at the nose tackle position alongside Lawrenceville native Anthony LaLota, a defensive end who is widely regarded as one of the state's top unsigned recruits. LaLota is expected to make his college intentions clear in the coming weeks, with Michigan and Penn State believed to be his current top two choices.
can't really say that's surprising.

If so, should there be any concern that Stockton jumps ship and goes with him?

No. at least nothing has been said even remotely like that. In the past they said it would be fun to play together, but never that one's decision would affect the other to that point.

to the contrary, Stockton has said he will continue recruiting Lalota to ND.
