BTW there is no way he ends up a Safety, he'll be an OLB of he ends up Irish.

Well he certainly would be the biggest safety I have ever seen. He does seem to have a lot of things we are looking for (or just like) for our secondary/overall players:

-Plays QB, so he has awareness on both sides of the ball
-Serious size - if he ends up as a safety.... hell, he would be big for a linebacker if he fills out

So what is the concern with his academics?

I would like to have seen a little more from him defensively on his video but the kid is no doubt an athlete.

From what I read, it was more along the lines of his 2 pals that could have some difficulties, therefore another reason he was the only one offered, unlike several other schools who offered all 3. IUB could clarify if I am all wrong.

That's the general thought that everyone seems to have in this case.

Absolutely goldandblue, we do not see Ray Ray make one play in pass coverage, so I really do not think I can evaluate his Safety play accurately.
I have to agree with the rest of the thread that he seems built more for OLB than a Safety.
