Recruiting violation, unless we're talking about Joe McKnight and Reggie Bush. Then it's ok apparently.

The recruit could call them, not the other way around.

Well this will be his first time to ND's campus so I wouldn't expect anything too soon. Not saying it couldn't or won't happen but I think you might see this one drag out a few more months into the spring and or summer.

More big offers come for Shrive
By Mike Farrell, Recruiting Analyst
5 hours, 23 minutes ago

Offers are continuing to come in for Rivals100 offensive tackle Eric Shrive. The 6-foot-7, 285-pounder is now up to 18 scholarships, the latest come from a couple elite programs in the Big Ten.

“I got offers recently from Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, that puts me up to 18 scholarships,” he stated. “Michigan is a very prestigious program. They always have great offensive linemen. As does Wisconsin.

“Oklahoma and Ohio State are very good programs too. Ohio State contended for the national title the last two years and they also have good offensive linemen.”

Do any of the offers stick out?

“Not really, I’m wide open,” he said. “I want a place I’ll fit in with the guys on the team and the other students at the school. I want a place I’ll have a great relationship with the offensive line coach and the head coach. I also want to make an impact early.”

In the meantime, Shrive is working on more visits.

“I’m going to Miami in March and Illinois in April,” he said. “I’m going to schedule some more visits, I’m trying to get to some of the places that have offered me.”

Mike Farrell is a recruiting analyst for Rivals.com.
